The Snook Island's are a re-nourishment project by the State of Florida & Palm Beach County to create spoil island for water cleansing and to create habitat for numerous saltwater species. They did an awesome job, we just didn't find the what we were looking for......today, but we will eventually.
As Daryl said, a Barracuda and a nice Mangrove Snapper were it for the day, but it was a great time on the water (& off)......saw two Rangers in a tandem kayak; what kind of Rangers you ask, well the kind that kept calling after B&B "hey, Missster Fiishermann" (must be said with a lisp ), two bums trying to procreate under the ICW bridge and a cool iguana sunning him/herself on the rocks by the Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course.
I can see hitting this area again, but next time the D-man is coming north for Snook, Trout & Reds!
