Question on Oct. 28th Big O Event Location

Postby flflash » Mon Oct 01, 2012 12:39 pm

I can't seem to find Okeetantee boat ramp anywhere on Google maps and Bing keeps taking me to the middle of Okeechobee City?
I'm making plans to go to Pine Island camping fishing on the 25th thru 27th and then hitting the Big O event the 28th since it's on my way back home.....sorta  I'd really like to be able to google map the entire trip out and find a campground near the Okeetantee Boat Ramp to stay in Sat night. Any decent/inexpensive campgrounds nearby? I'm a tent camper so a small place with water and showers is all I need.

Thanks!

Just wondering if anyones looked at the National Weather Service Forecast for this upcoming weekend?
As much as I hate to say it, unless there's a drastic change soon I'm going to have to scrap my plans for the rest of the week and weekend...15-20mph with 25-30mph is just a bit much.

Scoutlook is showing 15 out of the NNW all morning.

Who knows what that will be once they have a better of what that Tropical whatever is going to do?

barring everyone else backing out I'm still planning on going down there. 15 seems managable if we can bury outselves in the grass fields and out of the north it won't have time to build up much steam across the water.
