I know this area a little bit - it is my back yard. The reason that you saw kayaks and canoes is because no gas powered engines are allowed there. I have never seen any rules about usage but the property lines for everyone there go to the center of the water so I guess it is technically privately owned. Guy fishing there last week with electric motor said he had pulled several 7-8 lb bass out of my backyard

Thanks, I spoke to a game warden last year about access the chic through private property. He said that if I was floating, then I was not trespassing. So.......
As a side note: There is a ----ole on Swift Creek Reservior who will gladly venture out to yell at you on your boat. He likes yelling "this is private property" and someone told me he was legally correct.

What portion of the reservoir is that? I was under the impression that the whole reservoir was public.

Yes it should be. I am not the only person who has had this run in with the guy. I don't know if his house is still there. The side of Woolrich with all the pads and weeds, then go under the bridge. the house is over to the left of that shallow area. It had a small island out from the bank with a bridge built over to it and a gazebo I think. The dude came out twice on me and said I was trespassing.....but I was floating in a Jon? I didn't push it, I just backed out.
