Postby devildog4329 » Fri Sep 02, 2011 2:09 am

So here are the details. Me and a buddy are meeting up at the Boat launch in WIlliamsport at 0900. We will be floating form Kemps Mill back down to the Boat launch. If anyone wants to join let me know.

Let me know how it went. It looks to me that they are trying to keep fisherman off the bank there at Kemps mill on the Cono. You can easily park at the Park at the Wilson Bridge by the speedway right off of 40, if you have any trouble at Kemps.

The kids have cross country and I am busy, if I was not I would be chasing geese. Maybe in October, a week night, or a Sunday.

Well we went from the boat ramp in williamsport up to the train bridge and then floated back down. we pulled a dozen or so in the 10-12 inch range and a few dinks. My buddy pulled out the only decent one that was just over 14 inch. That one was sitting under the tow path bridge.

It was a nice day on the water with alot of fish. Just not the size i was looking for. For some reason i just could not hook up with little tube draggin head combo. I was using the green pumpkin and the river bottom but they just didnt like it. I pulled out one 8 inch dink on the green pumpkin.

Switched over to the grren pumpkin senko, and my buddy was running a green yum dinger with purple flake and we just tore them up.

This comming week im going to hit the potomac and hopefully the little tubes will work better there.

Just this past week on the Doah, bigger tubes (3.5") were working better than little tubes for him. Getting little taps on small tubes but hookups on the bigger tubes, even with little smallies.

You have to like the thump on the end of the line when a big ol bass hits that senko.

Yeah he was thick, My buddy bounced his 2.5 inch yum dinger off the wall of the bridge and when it hit the water he had a strike, it was a dink and didnt take the hook, he reeled in once to bring in the slack and then that big fellow nailed it.

I picked up two 8-10 inch from around that giant pile of sticks in front of the bridge, and then naile a nice 12 inch in the grass beds right off the point of the aquaduct. I went up stream about 100 yards fishing the grass bed but there were no other takers.

Rob I would really like to hit the water with you some time. We really need to work something out with our schedules and hit the Potomac or Jig.
