Greetings from SuperNova Fishing Lights

Postby Dez » Mon Oct 01, 2012 11:01 am

Hey guys, new to the forum and I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Dez Davis, Owner/Operator/Head Janitor for SuperNova Fishing Lights. We have been doing business in the Central Texas area for about 4 years. We began this endevor offering one product, the SuperNova submersible fishing light. Over the years I have spent hundereds of $$ looking for a fishing light that met my needs to no avail. I needed something very bright, extremely durable and energy efficient and honestly there was nothing out there that fit the bill. Knowing that with some time and investment that we could come up with something better we went to work and built our solution.

We learned alot during ths process and are now offering a variety of lighting solutions for all types of water craft. Being an avid kayaker myself it was't long until we began designing Kayak lighting kits. It's the obvious choice for these craft, as our strips are fully submersible they use such little power that they can be added to almost any existing battery setup, and if needed a small battery is all that's needed. We are working with kayakers here in Centex and Virginia to develope other products as I post this. If there are any suggestions of questions I'd love to hear them, we want you guys to have exactly what you want and need to make your night fishing experience safer and more productive.

Today we offer a kit that includes 2x 20' 30LED strips in blue or green. it's $99 and includes free shipping anywhere in the lower 48. There are many other options such as interior and cabin/gearwell lighting like the ones Glock Guy has installed. The man is a rigging genious and has been instumental in moving us toward offering the best solutions. Please contact me thru this forum or our website www.SuperNovaFishingLights.com for quotes on custom lighting and any question you may have.

I look forward to seeing you on the water (from miles away)'

Thanks,

Dez Davis

Welcome to KBF, there are a lot of great people here with good ideas. It's nice to see a business owner trying to better and get more ideas from the end users, and nice to have another kayak angler on the boards. I've been eyeing your lights for the past 3-4 months and looks like you have a great product.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I apologize for posting my company's intro in 2 locations. I realized there is a introduction thread after I posted in the gear section. I also realized that I didn't really introduce myself.

I have been an avid fisherman since childhood. I grew up bass and crappie fishing in East Texas and learned to truely love night fishing. Now I spend much of my time on Central Texas lakes chasing striper, white bass and Crappie as well as on the Texas coast hunting trout and redfish. I am married with 2 girls and a 4 year old grand-daughter. All my girls love the water and fishing as well, so that's what we do for fun about 90% of the time. We do alot of kayak river fishing and flats fishing at the coast. Nothing in the world like sneaking up on a pod of tailing reds and fooling one into taking you for a ride.

I have worked in the electrical and communications industries for over 25 years and although I have had a great career, the time has come to step out and do the things I love. SuperNova Fishing Lights has been a wonderful blessing tt me and my family and we are looking forward to growing the company. I really appreciate these online communities, have learned so much and met some incredible folks along the way. I look forward to getting to know some of you as well.

Once again, thanks for the welcome and hope to see some of you on the water!!

Tight lines,

Dez Davis

Welcome to the site Dez. I've been thinking about putting some lights on my kayak. Some of these bass boats doing 80 mph at dark get a little close ;).
