Spent a lot of time on the decks of the LPHs and the LHAs myself and I miss it as well... where else would they pay you to fly fast and low and shoot machine guns out the window?

Welcome to the addiction... feel free to jump right in. Ask questions, share your pics, and have a great time. You are are kayak heaven in VB, and fearless leader is right there wit cha... Knot Right is from the area.

Welcome to the kbf family...
you are home.

Those last lines mean more than I can say. I am home. I appreciate that very much. I was and am I guess a Mark 1 , Mod 0 Boatswain Mate. When I retired I was a LCU Craftmaster. I now teach at the Army School of Transportation at FT Eustis, VA. I wore all colors of flight deck jerseys but purple and green. Deckape is a term affectionately earned because we have strong backs and weak minds. But everyone runs when Bos'n yells go!

Bos'n mate? Weren't you the one on the 1mc with the dang whistle?
Sheesh....

I meant the last lines... and you will find that here... we all mean them.
We will laugh at you will you share your failures, then help you up, dust you off and help you figure out why and offer advice on avoiding it in the future.

Rigging your yak? Before you drill ask a question. There are a hundred folks on here with your yak, and who have already done what you want to do, and if not, who can help you figure out how.

Somehing broke... we'll figure out how to fix it together.
just like... um.....
family.

Sure... we'll laugh, but not really at you... more like with you.
like family.
But unlike other sites, we don't kick you when you're down.
Okay bro, maybe a little... but not hard.

Welcome to the insanity Brother.

I'm a soon-to-be-retired MCC. I live in Williamsburg, work in Norfolk, and fish everywhere in between. You are ideally located for some awesome fishing. Check your PMs for my phone number and give me a call. I'll get you tied in with some great locals.
