That's good deal wish I was still in the market for one. Question why they switch from 2500 to 1000 and what difference have you noticed after switch? Just curious as I have a couple of the 2500's

I have 2 ML and 1 MXF SC Avids. The 1000 Series Shimanos just seem to fit and feel better with these Rods and they are a little lighter.
There is plenty of Line Capacity and Power in the 1000's for the type of River Smallmouth Fishing I do.
I used 2500's for Years and they are fine too, I just like the 1000's better.
