Hi gillbilly,
I'm fairly certain that the "Gunpowder Springs" site is just an old website. I think the place changed hands and was renamed "Eggleston Springs Campground".
http://www.egglestonspringscampground.com/index.html
I googled the address, and it appears to be the same place. I went and spoke to the owners on Monday, and it is now $20 a night for a basic site, $25 for electric site, and $35 for the pavillion site that has three picnic tables under a roof.
The owners seem real cool, and the place looks clean and nice.
Here's the pavillion, with campgrounds on either side...

and here's the bathrooms

I am going to go ahead and get the pavilion site for Friday night for the meet and greet. Anyone that needs/wants to camp is welcome to join; there is approx 10ft to the side of it to pitch a couple tents. I spoke with James at the campground and he said he will try his best to keep the adjacent site open in case we need more room.

I updated the initial post with GPS coordinates to the launch and takeout.

I have room for 2-3 more people on the pavillion site. The website said 5max per site, but when I spoke with him on the phone he said if we can fit the tents on the pavillion site we can camp it.

So with that being said I am going to have 1tent on the site and have room for probably 2more tents!

I am good for Saturday, I won't know about Friday night until that day whatever time I get off work, could be 2 could be midnight, so I guess I am out for camping.

Are we taking some vehicles to Pearisburg in the morning to shuttle back, or having one of the outfitters shuttle us back?

I was planning on leaving as few cars as possible at the launch and drop all the others off at the takeout in Pembroke

Request approved, I'll be there and I think WhiskerWrangler will be making an appearance also. As for the Hobo, he is now big enough for his own kayak  so more than likely he will be sitting this one out.
