I think I slept not for sure :?: , excited about what lies ahead. Time to hit the road. Got to East Branch and found Doug getting his gear together...time to get our arse's into gear :P

Talk about a arsenal, I think Wade was trying to find more room for more lures

OK everything everything is in its place, and a place for everything

Locked and loaded

Wade talked about Doug dancing a jig, looks like Wade trying to do the  twist

Got on the water around 6:00am, started fishing around the ramp and into the main lake. We were throwing top water, jigs, cranks, wackeys even the kitchen sink, Nada :( Doug and then headed toward some islands while Wade took to the shoreline

Image

I didn't have any luck at the islands but i'm pretty sure Doug started getting hits on jerk-baits. After a while i floated around to the other side of the island and found some lily pads I threw a wackey rig green watermelon senko right on the edge on caught this beauty

Image

after a few more cast and no takers it was time to move on. Went to another island where Doug and Wade just left, and cast the same wacky rig toward a branch in the water and got another taker

Image

After no more luck there i switch to a black ribbon tail and sat in a weed bed threw right on the out side edge and got this one, of course Wade just left this area

Image

After that hit things started to slow down a bit Doug continued with his pattern and was having lots of luck, I'm pretty sure this was the time that Wade turned on his fish switch 8-) and landed one. On to explore some more areas

Wade profiling

Image

Doug in the distances, i could tell it was him because of the neon commander

Image

Image

For me things slow way down I just cruised the lake tossing this and that, legs started getting stiff, i couldn't stand up like some :) commander owners :) so i pulled on shore to stretch my legs. Here's a picture looking to the North of East Branch, don't mind that piece of plastic in the way

Image

Wade and Doug leaveing me in their wake :)

Image

Made to the south side of the lake no luck for me, time to head back, of course that's when the wind picked up and we are heading right into it. Dough mention that with the way the wind was blowing that i should try casting toward it of course i listened. I saw a overhanging branch from a tree laying in the water threw my go-to lure and landed this one

Image

Tried a few more coves and got a blue gill that was smaller than the lure i was using, back into the head wind :x man what a paddle finally made back to the ramp, time for lunch\dinner :D

Wade and Doug (Wade stuffing his face)

:D :D :D Italian sausage, with onions and peppers :D :D :D yum yum

As far as the roles played on Saturday: Here's my Take

WADE: :D My Saturday started Friday night, from you letting me own No Name Lake for a few hours ;) to the fantastic dinner that night, letting me stay overnight and helping me get my lure selections rig up. :D

DOUG: What can i say that Wade hasn't already said; You are the Fishing Technician. I like the way your approach is very tactical, from lure selection\color, wind direction, structure, scouting, and presentation, as Wade said your like having a encyclopedia\audio book on the water :) 8-)

ME: :| I was just along for the ride. As far as a "Clean up Batter" :P I am sure that Doug and Wade had that all planed out by getting the fish excited, and then leaving the area for me to exploit :o

All in all it was a great time hooking up with Wade and Doug and learning the ins and outs, and finer points of Bass Fishing. Thanks to both of you for a great fishing trip, cant wait to do it again :D :D

   Wades new addiction

You definately did an excellent job of cleaning up after us. Glad to see you laying down a little largemouth smack! And Wade did owe you from the last trip we did together at Hinkley :D

Great fishing report. I wasn't sure about the new line green HOOK 1 color, but it does look great on the water.

Hope to fish with y'all soon.
