Nice Picture. By the time that front got to Ohio, it took our power out for 24 hours. Some folks may be out for another week. No power + 90 degree temp = No fun.

Sorry, Handy .....about the power loss. We lost it for five days last year here in Northern Illinois. The only thing that worked was my old plug-in analog telephone. I learned to ALWAYS have one old style phone around.

Then, I bought a "small" generator.

However, put it into my Houston, TX house, where hurricanes can occasionally be a problem. Don't want to spend any time down there without power during the hurricane season. My son lives there when we are gone. Hope he NEVER has to use it.

regards, Rich

I love it! I saw something similar down here in Georgia last year. The only difference was the color. It was sunset so the clouds were deep purple swirled with yellow and pink. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.

Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except a sunburn and blisters from paddling, you're still better off than if you had stayed home!

Hey Rich. I lived the 1st 29 years of my life in Houston. I've through a couple of those hurricanes. Never expected one up here it Ohio. Then Hurricane Ike came up and met a cold front. Weirdest winds I even saw. Power was out for 3 day that time.

I'll be shopping for a generator once they get restocked here.

I bought a combo electric and pull start. It can re-charge it's own battery, so....even if we forget to keep the starting battery charged, we should be able to re-charge it with the generator after the first pull-start time.

I'm too old to be pulling on a cord in the heat and humidity of Houston TX. I lived in the Chicago area for the first 40 years. Both areas have their seasons. Rich
