Who says you can't dress up a turd?

Postby Rick_W » Sun Jun 24, 2012 3:54 pm

My little hunk of junk. :D This thing has been so dependable (192K+ miles) that I don't want to get rid of it. It needs a paint job and a new suspension but it still gets 15mpg in town (with 29.5" Goodyear A/T's) and sometimes up to 20 on the highway. I don't dog it in the mud but the 4x4 gets used occasionally and the A/C works.

Anyways - decided to giver her some "class".

One of the best jeeps ever made. I still am amazed that it has been 12 years since the last one to roll off the line.....now replaced with the liberty which is nice but it is no cherokee.

I had a Jeep Commanche, bought new in 1990. Sold it in 2006 with 186k miles. I drove the heck out of it. Used it, didn't abuse it. It never left me stranded and only had to fix normal wear and tear stuff. I miss that truck!!
Heck, tinkering with this fishing stuff
is half the fun of using it!!

Where do you think he got the stickers from?!!! :o Not only am I a sticker whore, but I pass the disease on to others. I am, however, happy to see that the Heroes On The Water sticker made it on there!

I wish I had a Commanche! Those things are hard to find these days.

The white truck barely visible under the stickers is BayDaze's truck. He has begun to put stickers on the paint.

If you have to:
a: remove a sticker from the glass to add a new one...
b: put stickers on the paint....

You a HO.

If you want to get there, PM me the address, I can send you mo' sticka's.. including a Marine Corps Emblem to put over that Navy one.

Of course it made it! And the other stickers are already being positioned on the camper hauler/family van (Ford E350 extended). LOTS of windows on there.
