Clouser/Bugger Swap: Due 4/30

Postby Orion » Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:13 am

Update: Swap is closed. We're one short so if anyone wants in PM me and we'll figure it out. Otherwise all of you are tying 2 less flies. So 14 total. Thanks!

Alright,

I just noticed that a few people were interested in another swap. I haven't hosted one here yet so this will be as good a time as any to start. So, off we go.

Swap Conditions:

In no particular order. Please read thoroughly.

-Each tier will pick one Clouser style fly and one Woolly Bugger style fly to tie for this swap. Lets see some creativity here! Small flies, big flies, strange colors, cool variations, I want it all! :D

-The first 8 people to say something along the lines of, "I'm in" will be signed up. This will be a total of 9 tiers with myself included. I'll will close the swap sign-up at that point. If more people want in we can make decisions at that time.

-You will tie one of each pattern for each other tier. So, each person will be tying 2 flies for each other person. I'm going to keep this swap limited to 8 tiers plus myself so you will by tying a total of 16 flies, 8 Clousers and 8 Woolly Buggers.

-The dates are by no means concrete, but having participated in many swaps, I feel these should be more then enough time to complete 16 flies and get them sent in.

-Flies should be mailed in a suitable (inexpensive) case. I prefer Altoids tins as long as the flies will fit in them. No expensive fly boxes please!

-Please include a self address and postage paid envelope inside the envelope you send to me with your flies. Stamps only! Those print off things that the PO makes expire and I don't want to deal with money. It's very easy to go to the PO and ask them to stamp two envelopes for the same or similar postage.

-PM me or post in this thread if you're ready for an address. Also, please let me know the day that you send your flies so I can know when to look for them. I will keep the thread updated with flies that have been sent and that I receive.

-Please try to get the flies sent in before the due date and if you will have problems or wont be able to keep deadlines, send me a PM. Remember, I'm over here in Colorado so it'll take an extra day or two for the flies to get from all you Easterners. ;)

-Finally, here is a link to the swap rules as stated by kayakfish. http://www.kayakbassfishing.com/kbfbb3/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=4176

Happy tying! Let's have some fun!!!

I am a big noob. So, don't expect Kayakfish's prestigious quality.... But, I'm in!

Tonight is the first time I noticed it was WHISKER! That makes so much more sense I've been thinking for a year, "man. I like bourbon, but this guy REALLY likes it!" I've even told friends of mine, "hey, did you see that post the Whiskey Wrangler made?"...Yeah I've even been trying to rationalize it... I thought maybe your job was to transport the casks around the distillery or something. -knobcreekman

Alright will this clouser work?

White mid body with a red gil on the bottom.
A chartruse upper body with some peacock herl on the back for a bait fish look :D . And some red eyes glued to the black dumb bell.
