Welcome aboard - congrats on getting out. If you have a minute, head on over to the Roll Call forum and introduce yourself and let everyone know what kayak you have and little bit more about your fishing.

Nice report! Ice fishing seems like fun. I will have to try that sometime.

Neat looking fish (we don't have those).
You look cold. What was the temp?

It was pretty cold out, low thirties if I recall correctly. I wore a bunch of layers and my hunting coveralls, but my hands and face were still cold. It's worth it though, ice fishing is a blast!

Thanks! Ice fishing is really fun. Where I live you're allowed to have 4 tip-ups and one regular ice fishing pole. When you have a bunch of people you can scatter the tip-ups around the lake and wait for a flag to go up. Meanwhile, you can use a minnow or soft plastics with the regular rod.

Ice fishing is something i have always wanted to try. Seems like a good time as long as you are prepared for the weather which from all my cold weather camping days i would be fine.
the only ice fishing i do is when the eyes freeze up on my fly rod when i am out on the spring creeks in the winter time
