X 2. I lost a really nice one about two weeks ago. It cut me off right at the yak and swam off with my X-Rap.

Yep they love black water around here and gold , red and yellow baits . Around here in some of the swampier ponds and bodies of I will not use baits like rebel minnow in gold because bass never have a chance to hit it . They almost always hit from the side so when Im bass fishing and see a shadow rushing from 90 degrees of the bait I would yank the bait away . Minnow baits , buzz baits , spinner baits ,top water are fine and they prefer colder water than bass. My biggest was on top water zara spook in gold glitter in January with a little ice around the banks , it was longer than the john boat was wide .

Just enter a high dollar bass tournament, you'll catch all the snot rockets you can handle.

Seriously, they like shiny things. Spoons, spinners, metallic cranks, etc. all work.

This one fell for a smaller Zoom fluke tail on a weedless 3.0 screw lock hook.

My brother hit 3 of them last week using a 3" green pumpkin senko nose rigged. He would get the hits on the retrieve as they didn't hit it at all during the drop. It liked it when it was moving. We where at Memorial Lake in 2 to 4ft of water. Temps where roughly 50 degrees.

spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and spoons. I always end up catching them on anything with gold or silver metallic blades or colors
