Daylight savings time??

Postby flyfisher » Mon Feb 27, 2012 10:02 pm

So it dawned on me today while i was staring at a spreadsheet that daylight savings time should be coming up soon. A quick google search confirmed my thoughts and the big day is March 11th :)

I think this is my favorite day of the year, hand's down, because i can actually leave work at a normal time (instead of sneaking out) and still go fishing....

I'm right there with you. I can't wait till the time changes. I start loading my kayak when I travel around TX to fish after work. My hotels seem to always be around my the lakes I want to fish. :D

I was thinking the same thing yesterday and looked it up too.

I enjoy fishing that transition time around sunset and the extended hours of sunlight in the evenings.

It helps my jogging too in the evenings. Running at night with a LED flashlight on my head is a drag.

I need to lose 20 pounds, so I'll be running 2-3 miles for 20-30 minutes most evenings after I get home from work. Yup, it will cut into my fishing time for sure. I should be slimmer by July 4th.

Running isn't really any different than anything else that requires discipline. It's just a matter of making yourself do it. After a copule of weeks of running, your body adjusts and it becomes way easier.

Yeah i am not into running but i do love riding my bike :) I try and get out at least 2 or 3 times a week in the warmer weather.

There is something nice baout going out for an hour or two and looking down at your bike computer and seeing 40-50 miles on there :)

If you are doing 40 miles in an hour I'm pretty glad I dont ride with you. Even 50 in two hours is above my pace.
