Having a heck of a time resizing photos so they will not be too BIG or itty bitty. What size should I use before trying to post a picture?
Heck, tinkering with this fishing stuff
is half the fun of using it!!

It's pretty simple.
Click on the picture in you album.
As you mouse over the picture, a menu bar will appear. Mouse over the "Resize" option and choose a preset size or choose "More options..."

From the editing page on the "Basic" tab you can choose a custom size using the sliders. Be sure to check the "Keep Proportions" tab.

For reference, this photo below is 799 x 542. Scale the size to your liking.

Is that 800 width the size needed for Challenge Entry Pictures too?

800 works pretty well for challenge pics. I ALWAYS keep high res pics on my computer in case there's ever a question.

I opted out of having people upload pics directly to the forum I just bought and use photobucket or another host instead. Letting everyone upload into my server would turn into a data storage nightmare.
Being able to upload directly here is a nice feature, thanks for covering the data cost Chad.

If you try to upload an attachment photo, you are limited by pixel count and size. However, if you are bringing in a link to photobucket, you can go much larger and also add a TON of pictures instead of just one.
As mentioned above, when I load my photos into Photobucket, I have it automatically size them for websites.
Got. I've been using Photobucket for a long time due to being able to add alot of pics wherever I want in the post. I didn't realize the customize upload, which I'll use from here on out!
