Newbie from SE Ohio!

Postby Fluteman » Wed Apr 04, 2012 8:43 am

I've been a creeper for a while now, so I figured I better go ahead and sign up! I'm Greg and I'm from Southeast Ohio. I have been kicking around the idea of buying a kayak for years now, and finally made the plunge back in February. I purchased a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100, and have had it out a half dozen times or so already. I'm an avid fisherman, and spend most of my free time in the spring and early summer fishing the AEP Recreation Lands.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here, and hoping I can pick up on a few tricks and tips along the way. Who knows, I may even have something to offer myself! lol

Here is a picture of my Tarpon...

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I have heard of the legend of a man that fishes from the tiger striped kayak. I can only hope that one day I become half the outdoorsman he is!

Backwoods, I was up there two weeks ago, and fishing wasn't half bad. The T-100 did real well for me. I'm actually headed back up this weekend and a day or two next week to scout out and fish two new areas I've been wanting to try. Hoping my cart will hold up to the punishment of the AEP trails and haul roads!
