That only applies if you are using a PFBC launch site or in a state or county park. Mike and I will do our damnest to find launch sites that don't require a permit. If you plan on fishing the Susky more than a few times, by all means, get the permit. For now, let Mike and I try to find spots where you all don't need to buy a permit you will only use once. We will let you all know in plenty of time if you need to buy a launch permit. Matt

That shouldn't be a problem, especially if guys are willing to drag their yaks across the highway. LOL.

Floating this area is fun, but not the only way to do it. The cool thing about the river being beside the highway for miles and miles is you have many launch point options. Multiple spots hits in one day can be fun, a real time saver and you can focus on productive areas. That is, if you don't mind loading and unloading (it only takes minutes). I have hit up 3 spots in a day. Sometimes I will do a morning spot hit, go back to camp and then hit up a different spot in the evening until dark.

I think it might me a good idea for all planning to attend to get a launch permit. Mike told me that the farther North we get from the campground, the more the highway moves away from the River, making easy parking areas slim. As Dan reminded everyone, the PFBC requires a permit to use their launch sites. Matt
