My name is Jeff. I live in Scranton Pa. Long time fisherman, Second year kayak fisherman. I was fishing at a local lake early last bass season when i saw an older gentlemen fishing from a kayak. Needless to say i was intrigued. He was very personable and informative. He loved kayak fishing and was more than happy to take the time for a lengthy conversation. Well soon after I was able to borrow a small Emotion SOT from my brother in law which i rigged with a fishing crate and hit the water. Needless to say i was HOOKED! This year I purchased my own second hand SOT. (a Mad River Synergy 12). Which I am very pleased with. (Hopefully the first of a small fleet as my wife would like to join me sometime in the future.) As of now I usually fish solo as I don't know any other local kayak fisherman. I usually fish some local lakes and the Susquehanna. I hope to find some fishing partners in the near future. I find this website to be very friendly and informative. Thanks! Jeff. (I always look for that gentleman whenever i go to that lake to thank him and maybe do some fishing with him.)
