Squeeked in a short trip

Postby mcca78 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 5:08 pm

Friday we had some more bad storms in my area, in which we had a big tree come down in our back-yard, so most of my weekend was with a chainsaw and not a baitcaster in my hand  , it was really nice out Sat evening, and I wasnt going to get finished with the tree after being at it all day, so I hit the local lake at like 7pm for a couple of hours. Tossed a toad around the banks, caught 3 with only 1 decent sized fish that smacked it just as the moon was comming up. It was the lil fishing fix I needed to get back at the tree the next day.

These past 2 weekends really bit the big one, hopefully mother nature will be nicer and river gods will let Jamie and I on the water.

Everyone needs a fix. Some more than others! Nice fish, glad you were able to salvage it and get slimmed.

Way to get that little trip in Mike. I hope that the weather cooperates for you and you can get back on the river. As we were leaving Huntingdon last night another series of T-storms pummeled the area. The river looked to be getting worse...

It's good to take break from that type of work. No need to compromise your safety right? Besides, I'm fairly certain that the chainsaw had to be overheated and needed to cool off for a few hours anyway.

My thoughts exactly. If you don't take a break it could be very easy to have an accident. ;)

I hear that. I've been free the last 2 weekends and have been on the water only a few hours due to weather.
This weekend is looking good as of today. Hope the weather holds out for you two.
