OLYMPUS TG-320

Postby Rick_W » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:36 pm

This camera series has reveived some good reviews by members of this site.

I just noticed that the Olympus store has the price of the new TG-320 reduced to $129.99 with free shipping, but be aware that they will charge you state sales tax.

https://us.buyolympus.com/digital-cameras/tg-series-stylus-tough/tough-tg-320-digital-camera.html

I have no firsthand experience with this particular camera, but I did just order one to test it out.

I have the TG-310 and it is GREAT! No complaints from me whatsoever. I would recommend any of the Olympus Tough series.

Just ordered one for myself - already have a spare 32GB SDHC Class 10 memory card and floating wrist strap waiting for it :D

I was looking for a floating wrist strap for mine, but there were so many available it was difficult to choose. Just want to make sure it floats if it falls overboard.

I theaded a piece of pool noodle through mine, just enough to float the camera if it falls in the water.

Marty - I was just "extended" until the 22nd. Will be heading home early on the 23rd.

I will definitely be stopping at the Hobie booth. I'll have my drool rag with me. I'll also have my own PFD.

Sounds like a great idea and right in my price range too. I saw some guys using some at the Yakattack HOW Tournament this year. They kept the camera in their pocket and let the float hang down the side of their pocket. Nice idea when you need to drag that camera out. Just got to figure how much I need to keep it afloat. ;)

This is exactly what I do. I use 30# Dacron backing and tie a loop onto the lanyard attachment of the camera, and then attach the noodle to the dacron loop before I'm headed out on the water.
