We have a few local mom and pop resturants in our area now. And to be honest the food is not always the best and the service I could get from mcdonalds better. However dont you dare speak a word against the place they have some die hard loyals that no matter how bad the food or service is they love it. Most of them sit at the bar, just saying. I find it completely unacceptable that this place you went to is allowing the staff to behave that way. Ive worked in retail management and was a professional wrestler and if any of the employess in our retail store or the boys in the locker room behaved that way to the customers/fans they would be clicking career builder that same day. Hopefully word gets back to them and they make things right.

Ah! Now I see! They are a "Pennsylvania" style restaurant. As in Philadelphia, the "City of Brotherly Love"! = the means streets of Philly

Hey now....Philly is a pretty nice place as long as you don't stand in line for 10 minutes and not know what you want when you get to the counter

Well, the hate mail stopped and the folks at urban spoon have asked me to review every place where I put a fork in my mouth.

Not sure I want to become a food blogger, but I don't mind telling folks when they do a great job or a sucky one.

Food blogger is a pretty cool deal. I need to start writing up my reviews of places. Every time we leave a restaurant my fiancee always says damn, you should be a food critic or something cause you analyze every aspect of the meal

I actually found it amusing and wondered to myself:
1. How did they even find your blog.
2. DId the first employ run and tell the 2nd employ that a guy was blogging about him and to jump online and defend himself and his "server" abilities
3. Not once did i see the owner/manager try and discuss the matter
and lastly, just for the rudeness in their replies i would either never eat their again, they would probably do something to ur food anyway

Man, remind me when we come down to fish wit you again, NOT to go out and eat. By the time we git down that way YOU will be infamous and it might NOT be safe.

We have two great country diners up here, The Riverside cafe, across the Appomattox from ARC, and the Fork Union Restaurant in ... um.. Fork Union. Anyone who has made the River Raids will remember the Fork Union, we always meet there after for dinner. Well, with Knot Right holding court they might not remember the food.

But the food and service in both has always been top notch.

I don't think that I'll ever set foot in Granny and Pappy's unless by some MAJOR MIRACLE they are still open in December. If they are I'll walk in and hand the cook 20 bucks.
I'm still betting they won't last 3 months.
