Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except a sunburn and blisters from paddling, you're still better off than if you had stayed home!

thanks all...w2n. Yup, thats the MS Slammer, my bud LI Bass sent me a 9" last year and it sat on the shelf, I never really had a chance to throw it, after a couple hours on the water yesterday one came unbuttoned, hit an 18, and on the way back to the beach the 22+ slammed it about 3ft off the bow of the C140.

That is a monster of a largemouth! Congratulations!

p.s. what is your RI PB?

Turtle135, I have a couple in the 22 range, the 22+ I caught in 2010 was heavier, but this one was longer, I know theres bigger in there too, its a RI stocked trout pond that doesnt get any pressure from bass guys, if it does its just senkos.
Heres the 2010.

Hey Dave, have you ever tried a Huddleston Trout or other swimbait that mimics a trout?

HY, I have thrown the Hudds, I wont or cant discredit its ability to hook big bass, because I know they do. But I've never had any luck with them and I've put some serious time on the water with them too.
It just seems the Slammer gets the job done for me, along with the Punker.
