Texas rigged RI big unit worm or double wide beaver for flipping/pitching. RI flirt worm, smallie beaver or a Roboworm straight tail for dropshotting.

My opinion on the matter is as follows. I can catch small bass any day of the week. I'm looking for big bass. 5+ Largemouth and 4+ smallmouth are always on the agenda and are super solid fish for these mountain lakes. If bass are going to be feeding on the bottom or in "shallow" water I'm going to throw a big jig. Otherwise, its been a big swimbait or spinnerbait. It helps weed out the smaller fish and jigs/big swimbaits are proven big fish baits. The smallest fish I've caught on a jig in a month? 16 inches. The biggest? A 22" 6lb 2oz fat girl largemouth.
I probably didn't contribute much to conversation but if I'm going to be throwing a bottom grinding presentation its going to be a jig 9 times out of 10. I can fish a jig in shallow bushes and trees, around rock piles and bridge pilings, around ledges, in deep water like a Carolina rig, etc etc. It's easily one of the most versatile lures out there.
Sorry for getting slightly off topic.

Thanks...always like to hear what others are doing and their "go-to" baits.

I'm still not sure who buys these $3-400 swimbaits. Might as well drive by the lake and toss a rod in as opposed to hanging one of those in tree.

For largemouth in lakes/ponds: Wacky rig 5" senko
For smallies in rivers: Winco Craws on Winco Flutterhead
My biggest largemouth came on a wacky rig. The Winco Flutterhead is a design that hardly snags in rocky rivers. You can also put a variety of plastic lures on it.

As far as I know. I don't think so many tackle sites would carry them if no one did.

Berkley 7" power worm in pumpkin seed, texas rigged used to be my go to for LMBs. I find myself more commonly using a wacky rigged senko.
