NEWBIE!!

Postby rockanderthal » Tue Jul 31, 2012 3:39 pm

I'm new to Kayak fishing but not to bass fishing, but very new to Kayak Bass Fishing in TEXAS!! Originally from Mississippi and well versed in Largemouth in that area but finding it extremely difficult to find my way here in Texas. I live about a mile from Lake Lewisville. So far all of my attempts to catch Largemouth or anything else for that matter in my kayak here have been epic fails. My deep south tricks don't work on these open waters. I don't know any other "YAKERS" in the area so if you are in or around the Lake Lewisville area and don't mind a tag along to teach hit me up! I'm eager to learn and well outfitted. I love the idea of Kayak Fishing and I do very well in it when i visit the home state, but just can't get it to work here in big "T".
I'm sporting a Hobie outback with the pedal drive system that I absolutely love! Let's do some fishin'!!

@Whitewolf
Grew up in Hattiesburg! Was just there last weekend but didn't get to do any fishing. All of my family still lives there. I'm working on getting back someday, sure do miss the southern life and living ON A LAKE! What part are you from?

Welcome aboard.

Lake Lewisville is a decent size lake. I hope you find and catch those Texas lunkers.
