2013 WILDERNESS SYSTEMS CHALLENGE SERIES RULES and ENTRY!

After reading all of Chad's posts for the 2010 series, I'm getting excited. Thanks for giving us all the opportunity to fish a tournament type series on any water body for some INCREDIBLE prizes. Justing getting a 4th place finish in a single challenge pays for the BassPass, which is incredible. I have just one question on it;

1) Can you get the KBFBassPass anytime after the first challenge starts in March?

We are considering allowing folks to purchase a BASSPass after the Challenge begins, but they must wait 48hours to enter a fish and we will likely change the identifier if that happens to prevent someone from catching a big fish before registering and then trying to "buy in" after they have a big catch. What are your thoughts on allowing someone to enter after the Challenge starts? The other option is that you can buy the BASSPass, but you will not be eligible until the start of the next Challenge.

Good to hear that this will be the identifier method. A cheater could catch a big fish and use a generic identifier, go home and buy in and then wait 48 hours to post the fish and unless the pic is time stamped, they could just say that it was caught the day that they were eligible to make entries. I think the unique number would be a great way to avoid all of the potential problems! I would suggest that maybe there could be a time limit to when you can enter the challenge. For instance, maybe you could enter a challenge up until the halfway point, then you would have to wait until the next challenge to enter unless you purchased a basspass, then you should be able to enter at anytime. I would be highly suspicious of anyone wanting to enter into one challege only with only a few days left in the challenge......

How long into a challenge can a person w/o a basspass register? or is that still being hashed out?

i think if you enter a challange after it starts you must contact a moderator and within the 48 hours you would get a specific identifier on the 48 hour mark that would only be valid for that challenge. i think that you could enter within a week of it ending, this way your not having guys who register for the site the day after the challenge start miss out.

That is still being hashed out, partly because we want to see what the concensus is amongst those that are going to fish the challenges. So any input that you can provide is great. We are already assigning unique basspass identifiers numbers to those that buy bass passes and then the night before the challenge they will be sent out. Please make sure the email you have registered in the forum is a good working email, because all updates on the basspass will be sent via that email. And just to throw something else out there, basspass holders will have some suprise challenges throughout the year for more prizes. These will not give you points toward the Wilderness Systems Angler of the Year, but will provide you with more opportunities for prizes, incentives, and discounts.
