Can I ask which challenges will use the calculator? Wisconsin Bass just have a hard time keeping up with their southern cousins from a size perspective. I would like to purchase the Bass/Pass but I'm not sure the if it would benefit the North anglers. Our Bass season in Wisconsin doesn't open until the first Saturday in May, so the March challenge won't work, and I'm not sure I can keep up with the Florida anglers. So I may purchase individual passes. But if I knew ahead of time, if their were enough challenges utilizing the calculator. I will then choose to go the Bass/Pass route. Just asking?

And will their be any future challenges for any other species besides bass?

This might have been covered in a previous post, not sure. I'm thinking that there were either 2 or 3 using the calculator and the rest going by length. If you look at other posts on the 2010 Series, you'll find it.

I havent saw a complete schedule yet but the one I saw ,the first couple largemouth challenges did not use the calculator but the ones later that included smallmouth used it.there were several months left blank ,so you never know with knotright that there may be some smallmouth only challenges ,which is where you northern folks would wear us southerners out.But from what I have seen, the bass pass would not only enter you into all the challenges ,but get you special discounts and entry into other smaller challenges.I have been on this site for about 8 months and all I can tell you for sure is that you never know what knotright is gonna throw out there cause he's knotright.

I also would say that anywhere that your state has a state record largemouth over about 8 lbs that you could have a chance to do well in any challenge.remember that they are paying 5 or 6 places now and if you just place in one,you pretty much have got your money back out of the basspass.

We are working very hard to level the field. In our Tarpon Two-Lips Challenge the largemouth and smallmouth are both eligible and the smallmouth will be worth 1.15 points per inch while the largemouth will be worth 1 point per inch. This will help because Northern guys have a better shot at bigger smallmouth. Don't forget, there are at least four places guaranteed with more added as the numbers grow. In addition, the BASSPass is gonna have some really nice additional prizes as well. There is a lot of work that goes into running this site and the primary purpose of the BASSPass is to reduce the administrative burden and that is why we are providing more incentives for it. In addition, it creates some revenue up front that we can reinvest in the Challenge series to make it even more rewarding.

I have a question about the Hobie Pro Angler prize. Is this seperate from the Hobie prize with the 25 inch fish already entered by shoalbandit or is this an ongoing challenge? Also, if they are the same, what is the end date for that challenge?

that was last years challenge and is over with.everything starts over march 1st for 2010 season.mods should maybe delete the old challenges to avoid confusion.
