Halibut/Salmon Fishing in AK (Need Your Vote for a Contest)

Postby sethmac » Sun Jan 22, 2012 10:16 pm

Fun video I made in 2004 to document a trip I took to Alaska with my dad and brother. Brushed it off for a contest to win a rod, and hadn't watched it. Forgot how great it was...sorry if you don't like the music, The Perfect Storm was big at the time :)

If you're on the Texas Fishing Forum...feel free to give me a vote for "Halibut and Salmon" (

Well...doesn't look like the video wants to embed. Video has some good footage of our catches, plus humpbacks, orcas, a octopus, and some bald eagles. Great trip if you ever get a chance. I also did a blog post on the trip. Let me know if you want details on the resort, great people. Here is the link:

That looks like it was an amazing trip! I can't get over how beautiful that place is. Definitely can't wait to get up there for a fishing trip.
