I guess I should stick to smallmouth fishing

went out this morning and it was a slow day. as my luck would have it,there was a bass tourney going on with boats beating the banks everywhere

I almost packed up and left but I was already there so I thought I would just be a speed bump and not let all the sparkly boats push me around

they were all fishing fast and furious so I thought I'd just drift down with a weightless senko(watermellon red flake) and BAM! got a nice keeper! my second best smally ever! I normally don't fish this river because its usually very fast and deep with trees sticking out everywere,to be quite honest its scares the hell out of me. in fact a very experienced kayaker lost his life on this river this spring. But the river is way down right now(about 6 feet) and very slow and easily fished from a kayak..yea me..
I was and still am smiling about catching this fish. what a fighter!
oh yea,he was 20in's
