That is interesting. Why wouldnt you want to use the smoother line on the baitcaster?

I actually think it is too soft for that setup for me, just my preference and opinion.

What problems would being too soft cause?
I'm not trying to be a pain. Just trying to learn. Most of my fishing life I have used mono. I only started using braid recently and have only used the regular PP.

I think the thought process is that in the event of a nasty bird nest where the main line digs into the line on the spool, it will really dig in and pretty much take that reel out of service... that is unless you don't mind loosing a good 30 to 45 minutes of fishing time to fix it.

Make sense. Although I have enough talent that I got one of those "out of service" backlashes a week or so ago with regular Power Pro.
I would definitely give Fins a shot. The one thing I have decided is I want to try a brighter colored line for fishing worms and jigs. That dang PP green is really getting hard to see as I age.

Do it. It can be a game changer.

B& BBQ - I'll have it in stock next week. Kayak Fish SC is a registered retailer.

Is braid on baitcaster more susceptible to back lashes and or harder to cast?

On various baitcasting setup I use 30, 50, and 65lb braid. I have replaced the original PowerPro with the new Super8Slick as the older lines have needed replacement. I very, very rarely get a backlash with braid and I don't treat them if anything, although I know anglers (who I respect) who swear by spray-on line treatments. I just don't bother to add one more piece of tackle/equipment/rigging to my "kit".
I use 30lb on my inshore light-tackle saltwater baitcasting set-ups used for specs and reds. I use 50lb for most of my bass set-ups, and jump up to 65lb on my heavy cover bass rod used for brutal cover/heavy bait (jigs) fishing. The 50lb PowerPro Super8Slick is as close to a do-everything line as I use. I use braid on all of my bottom contact rods, but not for any bait I "pull" with the reel.
My current bait cast setup is Shimano Citica 201E/Crucial CRC-D70M 7' it is Medium Fast action Shimano states it is designed for Shaking small worms, drop-shotting; Senkos, floating worms, small crankbaits, poppers, wacky rigs and also small to medium jerkbaits. I currently have 10lb trilene xt mono. Would #50 windtamer braid be a little heavy for this setup and or would I be better off using #30 Windtamer braid?
Was hoping the braid would give me a little more distance on casts as well as a little more sensitivity
Cheers
