Not sure about others, but I rig them weedless (not Texas-rigged) both weighted and unweighted. Unweighted on an EWG Gammy or Owner hook for a slower fall and a weighted swimbait hook when I am in some windy conditions and I want to find the bottom structure..

Most probably mean rigged weedless without a weight, on a worm hook.
Calling that "Texas Rigged" has been a pet peeve of mine for years. A proper Texas Rig always has a sliding bullet weight.

I've never ever fished a Senko Wacky Rigged

but they are Killer Carolina rigged, perhaps my most productive way of fishing any plastic worm.
The Senko darts pauses and floats up as the sinker bumps and looses contact with the bottom, drives fish nuts.

So i did mean weightless and weedless and i also use a EWG hook too.
So what would you call it then? weedless rig and then have to answer how to rig weedless? I guess to me i always think of the hook as a texas rigged and you have the choice of with or without weight.

All this talk about senkos made me go to BPS.

104 pieces, a few different color. 15 bucks with the box. Yes, they are Bass Pro generics but they should work just fine

That's what I'm thinking. I'm trying to figure out where to go. Any good haunts from when you were up here? I'm trying to go places I dont have to paddle much. Shoulder isnt quite there yet.

Absolutely, you can fish the canal behind Ultima Fitness and work your way around the lakes just south of there, but I would launch at Loxahatchee at the ramp west of you by the green bridge. You wont have to paddle very far, in fact I would cast at the ramp before dragging the kayak down there...lol.

If I am beating a shallow reed bank that has grass on the bottom, it would be ignorant on my part not to throw them.
Aside from wacky rigged, I fish mine t-rigged, c-rigged and occationally as a jig trailer folded in half. They are great t-rigged to use when pitching docks, trees and chunk rock.
Some people will think that it's "just throw it out there and wait" fishing, and it is in a sense....but it takes attention your your part to watch the line, feel the tick and set the hook. I also work them differently based upon what the fish want. Some times a stiff jerk to the top and let it fall, other times just a constant tap/tap/tap on the line to make it flutter in a suspended depth works. How is this any different that folks that fish a spinnerbait in open water? That's just cast...retrieve....repeat. To me, that takes even less "know-how".
In the end, some people will choose not to use them, and I'm OK with that. Me personally, I never leave home without them because they always produce fish!
My thoughts exactly!

I'm guilty of still calling it a texas rig when I rig it without a bullet weight. However, I rarely do this. I like the action even a small (1/8 0z) bullet weight gives to a stick bait. I feel like I know more about what the bait is actually doing when I can't see it. I'm not knocking weightless, I know a lot of people love to fish them that way.
