Dobyns 682SF Review

Postby FJCruisin » Fri Aug 03, 2012 11:30 am

I picked up a Dobyns 682SF spinning rod on sale at Cabelas for $169, down from $219. I paired it with a Pflueger Supreme MGX #1236642. I purchased this combo to use for weightless wacky rigged senkos and 1/8oz shakey heads. While not a very long rod, it could also be used for a drop shot combo. I spooled 8lb test line on it. As usual, it's a great quality Dobyns rod and has perfect action. Extremely sensitive and it feels great in the hand, very light. The design allows you to rest your index finger on the blank, which also helps with feel. The rod loaded up great and seems ideal for finesse presentations on light line. Overall, I am very impressed.

You should try the DX 702SF Finesse

Congrats on the new Rod. I promise you'll love it!
