Just noticed your planned outing was for Saturday. If you made it out you probably experienced a "little" boat and jet ski traffic. :)

Oh yeah just "a little" boat traffic. Playing chicken with 60 ft sportfishers was great :? We referred to the channels as I-95 of boats.
It ended up being a beautiful day regardless, though not so great on fishing.
Saw one bonefish (i believe) and about a 6 ft cuda chilling under one of the stilt houses. All in all, a very good day.

I gave up on that place when I kept running into the two seater ultralight float plane that's giving sightseers the low passes over the flats.

If you put in at Crandon Park Marina (open 24/7) designated kayak parking, 6 bucks for 24 hours, paddle under bridge going to ocean side flats and the first half mile is great (except on weekends) for bonefish. Across to SeaAquarium from marina for tarpon, early a.m. or night time only. Miami side of Bear Cut for snook or head south from marina to West Point for monster bonefish at night. Trout can be found on Miami side of channel markers heading south from marina.
