You are 2 for 2 on trips to the tidal Potomac and snakeheads caught, right?
They sure are tasty!

How do you kill those things? Do it up all swamp peoPle style or do you club them to death.

Nice one Rob! Sorry I didn't see you there on Saturday. I launched from the top end and didn't make it down much past the metal retaining wall.

I keep the boga grip in it mounth (Which is a small chore getting it in, These things have lock jaw when they get to the boat) and take the cheap filet knife and cyt under the gills open and go in and cut the gills in several areas. Then on the stringer. Then watching the fish bleed in the water and remembering the Bull shark video I pulled it and threw it in the tank well of the commander.
We cooked the snakehead last night. I found it to have a nice texture, but very plain for fish. That might be good for not real fish lovers. We also cooked a few white perch and they had much better flavor.

They are not easy to kill, it took me a while with a knife When I caught a few earlier this season. I started bringing a small baseball bat with me, but haven't caught any since. I am thinking it should do the job, anyone else tried a bat to knock them out.
