Sierra trading post has the series one bass rod in the bluegill weight on sale right now for $200.
I picked up this years version and have cast the pervious version and they are both good rods. I actually think it would be good for smallmouth too as the weight of the line is closer to a 7wt.
I think I am gonna pick one up i think since i have a $15 gift card from there burning a hole in my pocket:)
