UPS brought a small but heavy box to the door....

Postby BrokenPaddle » Tue Oct 20, 2009 12:35 am

Thanks MISSOURI KAYAK ANGLERS (Brett2077 & Bwinkert)!

A little while ago these guys posted up on here a request for someone to do their logo for their regional kayak fishing site. I was busy as hell with everything I already have going on, so I let a few others respond to the thread. I noticed some good suggestions of designers, some of which I know do amazing work, but for the most part, I knew everyone was busy.

I decided to make it a point to knock this one out for them. I'm not even 100% happy with how it turned out in the end, but I am my own worst critic so o-well. The "B-Boys" (Brett2077/Bwinkert) asked me how much they owed me and I could remember before I got into graphic stuff, the begging requests I would make for logos for sites and businesses I was running from freelance guys. I told him this one was on the house but if he insisted on payment, that the dollar amount should be what they thought it was worth to them, or just send me some fishing related junk and we're even.

This week, I get this in the mail!

Yeah, I figured we got off cheap ;)

Anyways, despite how unsatisfied you were with the logo, we couldn't have been more satifsfied (well, maybe you could have used a picture of me instead of Brad :? ). Thank you for what you did for Missouri, and for KBF, "so here's to you Mr. KBF web guy, staying up til 4 in the morning working out code errors with nothing more than a case of Red Bull and some techno beatin on your ipod. This Vise is for you"

Thanks again,
Brett

P.S. that was supposed to be spoken to the tune of the Budweiser's real men of genious, in case you were wondering.
