wayne. step 3 shows where to glue. basically along the edges. fold it over the hook shank so that the folded edges just barely cover the shank. If the foam laps over the shank too far, i found it blocks too much of the throat of the hook and reduces the hook up ratio. And yes, the foam is held to the hook via the super glue. but also by the tying in of the tail and epoxy overcoat.

wayne. here's a youtube vid of a standard tied crease fly. quite a bit different than the way i tie it but the folding over of the foam is similar.

hey orion, that dirty rat looks great in the water. the tail totally swirls around as you swim it. I haven't caught anything yet with it, but i'm sure it's just a matter or time.
