An excellent inspiration for this June's Challenge.

I wish I could compete with you guys, but you can bet I will be using the top water fly this month over the spinning gear. They are on the top water like flies on well you know!!!!!

i fish fresh and salt, conventional and fly. and i'd have to say that i'd rather catch fish on the fly rod than any other. there's just something about it. maybe it's the challenge. maybe it's because not as many people do it. add to that, catching a fish on some sort of feather and foam creation that you made. woohoo. that's a blast.

on top of all that, i can honestly say that when it comes to freshwater fishing for bass, i consistently catch more fish than my fishing partners who are throwing conventional stuff. the quality of fish may not always be as good, but who said "size matters"?
