Pop'n Crease Fly

Postby bk1 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:49 am

Managed nearly 30 bass yesterday afternoon all on the pop'n crease fly. Fairly easy to tie/create. Just sent a batch to tina for the swap, with recipe included. If you're not part of the swap and you want the recipe, let me know and i'll pm it to you. Anyhow, the water has warmed up, the majority of the fish seem to be off the beds, and they are hitting the topwater pretty aggressively. I've been catching them while continually popping it, or pausing it. It Doesn't seem to matter much. All i know is that this fly / popper has been producing.

I'd be real interested in the pattern, thanks for the offer.

Been trying to get house interior painting done so I can uncover my tying desk, and the crease fly was where I was going to start. Might as well make it a pop'n crease. Which also reminds me I have to order the Copic system tomorrow.

Thanks again

Nice fish, and nice paint job on the crease flies!

I played around with them last summer. I caught some fish on them, but still prefer a wider, "beefier" popper. I'm looking forward to the topwater bite here in Ohio, but the water is barely into the 50's right now. All in due time... :)
