Anyone actually look at this? This seems like an IDEAL application for kayakers. We're often in "uncharted" back waters, and even the latest map chips do not offer the level of detail this could provide. Also, since we don't run and gun in a kayak, every paddle stroke will contribute data points to your maps.
This could be awesome.

I checked it out and it definitely looks pretty cool. If i already had a GPS/fishfinder combo unit i would definitely be looking more into this set up. I wonder if it would work with my iPhone........tha would make it super easy since i always carry that with me.
