So I don't understand why the Commander is considered a sit on top? It seems like a sit in side to me.

because its classified as a hybrid, it does both and both very well I might add, but Im a lil bias

I think the tool might be just a little Commander biased seeing as though its a pretty darn good all around (inland) fishing platform. ;)

Iam thinking of getting the commander 140. for lakes, ponds, still water. Can't go wrong

I've put a good bit of seat time in a C140 since Thanksgiving in all kinds of conditions.

All in all, it's a very impressive fishing platform. There are a couple of things that don't fit every situation, but that's the case for every kayak out there.

In big wind you'll find me paddling my T160 instead of the C140.

Let Spring roll around and I WILL be poling across the grass flats in the C140 :D
