Prizes in the KBF Open will be awarded from 11th Place to 20th Place.
If you just thought, WTF? Read On!
The Top Ten from the KBF Open Qualify to move on to the KBF Invitational, so we are going to award prizes for the top ten that don't qualify. With pre-qualified participants fishing in the Open, this could mean prizes could be awarded out to 30th place or beyond! (Stay Tuned)
There will be a number of DESIGNATED LAUNCH areas which avoids a shotgun start, but also keeps folks from fishing private launches, etc. We will have a method for accountability that will be announced at the Captain's Meeting. The LAUNCH SITES will be announced in advance for planning purposes.
Sponsors are getting involved weekly and it is getting REAL GOOD.
The first day, the entire field will fish. After the first day, the field will be cut to 50 to fish for the final 10 KBF Invitational spots.
The second day, the top 50 will compete to move on and the non-qualifying anglers will have a separate tourney to make it worth the trip even if you don't move on to fish for the Championship. Again, stay tuned!!
The KBF Invitational Format, Set Up, etc. will be announced at the KBF Invitational Capt's Meeting on Friday Night.
Saturday there will be a demo day, expo, cookout, manufacturer's reps, etc. on hand to make the day great for those not fishing the KBF Invitational!! There will be a raffle Saturday night along with the announcement of the FINAL 15 that will fish the final day for the big money!!! The first place prize is currently $5,000!!!!!!
