Hello KBF! My name is Ryan, I'm 26 and I'm from Central New York.
I'm very new to Kayak fishing and went out and bought my first Kayak last week. I started out with a basic Kayak, the Field and Steam Eagle Talon 12. I'm hoping to rig it up in the near future and I'm open to suggestions and recommendations! One of the first things I want to buy is a new seat. I plan on getting the Crack of Dawn Apex 1 Deluxe Kayak seat which is about $70 on Amazon.com.
I was able to take the yak out for the first time after work today. I'm pretty happy I can stand up in mine as I prefer to stand and fish rather than sit. I was a little nervous at first but got used to it pretty quick.
I also purchased a Field and Stream Eagle 12 (the sit in version) for my girlfriend who's getting into Kayak fishing with me.
I look forward to learning a lot from all of you as it seems we have a very knowledgeable crew here!
