Hello people. I am new to the forums, and kayak fishing in general. I have recently purchased a 2011 Pelican Pursuit 100 used off of Craigslist - and have gone out on it about 4 times so far. Last time was my first fishing experience, and I am hooked. (no pun intended)

I am a 30 y/o father of 2 boys. I work as a 9-1-1 communications supervisor in the Chicago suburbs. Just wanted to introduce myself and get acclimated with the group.

I tried to learn about the sport from experience before I found this site. I had never seen a kayak fisherman before and thought I had a heck of an idea. Low and behold I find this site a few months later and realize I'm a few years behind!

I as well am a father of two boys (and a little fisher-girl on the way) so make sure to post pics when you are able to take them out. I may not speak for everyone but I know most of us love to see children fishing!

Welcome to the addiction and welcome to KBF!

Welcome aboard. If you can get up around the Wisc. line sometime during the weekdays, we can catch a bass (or something)
