New (sort of) from south Louisiana

Postby TBone » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:19 pm

Hi, new to posting here. I had originally joined here last year with plans of getting a kayak, but life got in the way and my saved money had to go elsewhere  . Now I have money again and am hoping to be getting a kayak soon (currently scouring craiglist for a good deal). Hope to be out on the water and fishing very soon. Frankly I'm tired of fishing from shore.

I have been fishing my entire life, but this will be the first time fishing from a kayak. Hopefully I get the hang of it pretty quick. Anyway I look forward to this new experience and the added fishing mobility.

Welcome from Baton Rouge! Glad to have another Southern Louisiana guy on board. If you haven't found your way there yet, check out the Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club, bckfc.org - lots of guys down here fish out of yaks, and you can often find good deals on used yaks on the website. Shoot me a pm, and we'll talk about going fishing.
