I took my dad out for his first yak fishing trip the other night after work. I hit a small car top only access pond about 2 mi from my house for the first time in years. Since ther was a 15 mph wind soft plastics were out so I started w/ a chrome Rapala casting and trolling over weeds about 5' deep and went to the black torpedo as it got later. We caught 10 LM, 3 on topwater, between us and missed a couple. I almost sh*t myself when an angry beaver tail slapped 10' away in the dark. It seems the bass are on with the warmer water temps I'm headin back for some eve night action.
