Looking Forward to the Weekend!

Postby flflash » Fri Apr 13, 2012 5:28 am

I just can't wait for this weekend to start! I have a nice float trip planed on the always beautiful Santa Fe river Saturday. Hopefully I'll pick up some Suwannee Bass on the flyrod they don't get very big, 3lbs 8oz is the state record, but man they are a blast on a 4wt :D kinda the smallmouth of Florida. Oh yeah there's some decent LM in the Suwannee too!

Sunday I'm off to Big fish water for a little scouting in anticipatation of our Florida Bass Paddlers event at Teneroc Fish Management area next weekend, topwater frogs and big worms...Always Fun to Fish there!

Whats everyone else have for fishing plans this weekend?

I love the Sante Fe. Tranquil, and gorgeous scenery. Someday, I'm going to get me a 4wt and work the Wakulla River.

Just got back from reliving my childhood as a river rat on the Nolichucky. Hiked about 3 miles and caught a ton of smallmouth. Sunday I'm going to paddle up in another river and see what I can find.
