Beautiful fish. Love the coloration.
Coming back it may be, but I am impatient. This is the first year I have fished the James since the kill. Catching a fish much longer than 10" is a task still. I know they are there, cause I've seen them and caught them but they are few and far between.

Yeah it's not what it once was but certain stretches were'nt effected as bad as others. One hundred fish days are hard to come by. This spring I have fished five different stretches of the James and the fishing was really good in all except one. The last float I had five over 15" with the largest being 17". On that trip we caught approximately seventy-five fish counting all species.

I'm guessing those stretches are east of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I hope a lot of the small fish I've been catching will survive the next couple years. They will then be nice catches. And I will be happy again!
