I have been struggling to find time to get the yak out, but on the Fourth I found myself floating down the New River with my girlfriend and her parents. We struggled to find any of size, but you can read the full report here: Dink Fest 2012

Been having the same sort of luck. Dinks a plenty. I guess small fish is better than no fish. I didn't get out on the fourth but plan on a float Sat. Hope to have some pics to post...maybe a hog or two. I did order the grabber you recomended, now I'll probably never hook another muskie.

That river is LOADED with Muskie.. Throw some muskie plugs or a buzz/spinner bait.. When im lucky enough to get down to fish the new, I often rip a buzzbait all day, on the chance to luck into a 40= inch muskie..

I was chucking an a-rig for muskies, but shhh... It's a secret That is what I hooked into my 36in musky on this year!
