Thanks Brian, I love fishing rivers and especially small flows. Nothing beats time on the water to help figure a place out. You still planning to fish the Cahaba this weekend?

Doug, We are definitely blessed here in Alabama to have so many rivers and streams available, like you guys do up in VA and West VA. I would love to take another vacation up that way and fish the area around Harper's Ferry or some of the streams I saw when we stayed in Gore, Va a couple years ago. :)

Wayne,
The Cahaba is still blown out and the rain we got yesterday didn't help. It went from 7400 cfs and is now 100 cfs but it's all mud. I think I will just fish my littl lake. It produced some quality fish yesterday so heck why not try it agian.

Looking forward to another trip with you!

Pretty spots as always. Maybe just my imagination but seems like the spots you catch from the river always have very vivid colors, more so than the ones I catch here in logan martin. Speaking of which you had a lot better day than I had friday. I fish most all morning and only caught two. I have always found Logan martin to be difficult in august. If my memory serves me right B.A.S.S. had their classic event or some sort of big tournament here several years ago in august and nobody caught much. That might be why they haven't come back  It's all good though I still had a good time. Better than being at work for sure!

Any bass in a river will pull hard and those spots are beefy!

oubassman and I had a killer day on the river last year right before a t-storm hit. Smallies were everywhere and it is good to see that the spots like to get active right before a storm too 8-)

Nice work. Pre-storm fishing can be some fast paced action. Nice looking spots.
